Skeggy's FAQ

  • What is Axe Throwing?
We know it sounds a little crazy, but axe throwing is a fun and competitive sport, similar to playing darts. There are several different games you can play during your session!
  • Is it safe?
At Skeggy’s, we’re all about having fun, but safety is our #1 priority! Before your session, a coach will guide you on the proper ways to throw and axe, review all rules, and answer any questions. If we see anyone not complying with the rules, they will be asked to leave without refund.
  • Is there an age limit?
Yes, 10 years old and up can throw axes. Participants age 10 – 17 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entirety of the session. Guests under 10 are welcome to enjoy our arcade, but must be accompanied by an adult. **This means that we will not allow those supervising into the axe throwing pit area.** Those interested in our Boozeye Bar MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD and show a valid photo ID. Expired or temporary documents without a photo ID will not be accepted. No exceptions!
  • How much does it cost?
During regular business hours: A one-hour session is $30 per person. A 90-minute session is $40 per person. A two-hour session is $50 per person.
  • How long can/should I book for?
A one-hour session is available for all group sizes, but we recommend longer sessions if you have more than 7 people in your group! A 90-minute session is available for all group sizes, but is recommended for groups of 4 or more. 2 hour sessions are reserved for groups of 7 or more.
  • Am I allowed to bring food & drink?
We no longer allow BYO beverages of any kind. We have a large variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available at our on-site Boozeye Bar! We proudly serve made-to-order pizzas at Skeggy's! For now, we still allow outside food so long as it is not pizza.
  • Will I be paired with other groups or will my lane be private?
You will not be paired with other throwers outside of your group. We do however reserve the right to consolidate your group together until a lane is fully occupied, before allowing you to book additional lanes. For example, a group of 4 cannot occupy 2 singles lanes. Singles can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests and doubles up to 12.
  • What should I wear?
Wear whatever you are comfortable in. The only requirement is closed toed shoes.
  • What is the cancellation policy?
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy in which a full refund will be provided. *In the event of inclement weather, we will work with you to reschedule your booking*
  • Can I bring my own axe?
Due to insurance reasons, we do not allow guests to bring their own axes.
  • Is there a charge for non-throwers?
No, we do not charge for non-throwers. We do ask however that space directly at the lanes is restricted to the maximum number of people (6 for single lanes and 12 for double lanes) to allow enough space for all guests and ensure safety! There is plenty of room for your group to watch and engage behind the pits.
